Covesion’s fiber-coupled waveguides provide a compact, high-performance platform for efficient wavelength conversion across a broad spectral range. Available in MgO:PPLN, PPLN and PPKTP, the optimal nonlinear material can be selected to match specific wavelength and power requirements. Each device is supplied in a robust, fiber-coupled package for straightforward integration into OEM and laboratory systems.
Coupled Bulk Crystal Modules
Building on Covesion’s expertise in bulk nonlinear optical crystals, our fiber-coupled conversion modules generate wavelengths not readily available from standard laser sources. Designed for both pulsed and CW pumping, they combine high power handling with excellent conversion efficiency. Each module is compact, robust, and engineered for reliable integration in both research environments and OEM systems.

Specifically with regards to our area of interest, the PPLN crystals are periodically poled, and the period of poling needs to be optimised to ensure the best performance of the source, enhancing the efficiency of the generation. Covesion gave us various options rather than just one specific period for the poling. For example, in one of the devices there were different groups of poling periods and that allowed us to optimise for best performance and find the configuration that worked the best.
