Vice President of Sales – Hawthorn Photonics
As Vice President of Sales for Hawthorn Photonics, my role is to lead the group’s global commercial organization across the Covesion, AdvR and Radiantis brands. This includes developing and delivering the group’s international sales strategy, strengthening collaboration across the businesses, and supporting customers in key markets including defense, aerospace, scientific instrumentation and quantum technologies.
Main Areas of Expertise
With almost three decades of experience in the photonics and laser industry, I've worked with customers and partners around the world to support the adoption of advanced optical and laser technologies across a wide range of applications. Before joining Hawthorn Photonics, I was Senior Director of International Sales at MKS Instruments, where I led sales teams across Europe and managed the worldwide distributor network for the Newport and Spectra-Physics product portfolios.
Combining technical expertise with commercial experience allows me to collaborate with engineering, scientific and commercial teams to help customers find solutions that meet both technical and business requirements.
At Hawthorn Photonics, my focus is on building on the strengths of each business, making it easier for customers to access our combined expertise and capabilities while preserving the specialist knowledge that makes each one unique.
Hobbies & Interests
Outside of work, I enjoy running, hiking, mountain biking and skiing. I also have a longstanding interest in international politics, geopolitics and history, and enjoy reading fiction. I'm married with three adult daughters..
Academic Achievements
My academic background includes a Master's degree in Physics from the University of Antwerp and a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Katholieke Hogeschool Leuven.
