Project Manager
At Covesion I will be managing the government funded research projects, specific internal projects looking at process improvements and I will also have a role in new product development.
Main Areas of Expertise
I studied Materials Science and Engineering at Imperial College London, then completed a PhD in Materials Science at University of Oxford. Prior to joining Covesion, I have worked as an R&D Project Manager at 3T AM, one of the leading bureaus of 3D printing parts in both metals and polymers. While this role taught me how to coordinate, control and successfully lead multiple projects at the same time, my science background further aided in communicating effectively with technical team members, becoming an essential bridge between the various stakeholders. This combination of skills helped ensure projects success from various perspectives, and will be very useful in my role at Covesion.
Hobbies & Interests
I really enjoy trying to incorporate engineering into baking – I have successfully baked snow-globe biscuits with moving parts, biscuit pinatas, several singing cakes and a flaming cake, while targeting to bake gravity defying cakes next. Making my bakes look cool is much more important to me than their taste!
I also have a passion for photography, and have had a little side hustle working on wedding and portrait work for well over a decade. I suspect I might be taking a few photos of the laser lab set-ups now that I am at Covesion!
